This flagship WordCamp for the North American region will take place in National Harbor, Maryland, from the 24th to 26th of August.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/blog\/what-is-wordcamp\">WordCamp<\/a> is an offline conference with various <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wordpress.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordPress<\/a>-related activities like presentations, workshops, and contributing sessions welcoming all expertise levels.<\/p><p>On top of that, there are networking events where WordPress contributors and enthusiasts can connect and exchange knowledge.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-connecting-with-the-community\">Connecting With the Community<\/h2><p>This is the second year Hostinger is <a href=\"https:\/\/us.wordcamp.org\/2023\/sponsor\/hostinger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sponsoring WordCamp US<\/a>, and this time we support the event as a <a href=\"https:\/\/us.wordcamp.org\/2023\/call-for-sponsors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Super Admin<\/a>.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Hostinger x WordCamp US 2022 Highlights\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XXGzjdRmXRM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure><p>We continue our stride in actively participating in WordCamps because many of our clients are WordPress users.<\/p><p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;re excited to meet and connect with our clients in person. There, participants will have focused time for cross-project discussion, aiming to advance the project.<\/p><p>Also, we have one of our crew volunteering in WordCamp US. <a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/emmaht\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emma Young<\/a>, our Head of Content, will volunteer as an MC. This will be Emma&rsquo;s third time volunteering in flagship WordCamps &ndash; the previous ones were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/blog\/wordcamp-asia-2023-roundup\">WordCamp Asia 2023<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/blog\/wordcamp-europe-2023-roundup\">Europe 2023<\/a>.<\/p><p>As we are actively involved in the WordPress community, WordCamps won&rsquo;t feel complete without joining Contributor&rsquo;s Day. This is the time when contributors from all over the world sit and work together, offline, on the WordPress project. Think of it like a mix of a hackathon and a networking event.<\/p><p>&ldquo;My first ever was full-on, and I was able to accomplish a lot. The more recent was more onboarding others and making it easier for them,&rdquo; says Emma, reminiscing her recent Contributor Day experiences.<\/p><p>&ldquo;This time around, I&rsquo;ve signed up for a few teams &ndash; I hope to help with not only onboarding on Docs but I would love to talk with other teams and see how we can all help each other.&rdquo;<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.wordpress.org\/leonnugraha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leonardus Nugraha<\/a>, our WordPress Content Specialist, and 6.3 Release Lead for Docs, also looks forward to bringing impactful contributions to this open-source community.<\/p><p>&ldquo;I think I will mostly work on Documentation &ndash; the team with which I have been involved for over a year.
