{"id":2847,"date":"2022-04-11T09:29:14","date_gmt":"2022-04-11T09:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/blog\/?p=2847"},"modified":"2022-04-12T15:17:32","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T15:17:32","slug":"wordpress-5-9-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/blog\/wordpress-5-9-3","title":{"rendered":"WordPress 5.9.3 Maintenance Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WordPress is constantly improving its software, patching security vulnerabilities, and fixing bugs through minor releases.<\/p><p>The latest <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/news\/2022\/04\/wordpress-5-9-3-maintenance-release\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordPress 5.9.3<\/a> minor release happened on April 5, 2022. This new maintenance update consisted of nine core bug fixes and 10 block editor fixes.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wordpress-version\/version-5-9-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordPress&rsquo;s release post<\/a> contains the complete list of fixes and links to the Trac tickets as well as GitHub issues. We will list the notable fixes to problems users may have encountered in the previous WordPress version.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-notable-fixes\">Notable Fixes<\/h2><p>WordPress 5.9.3 resolved various issues that interfered with the user experience in the admin panel and the block editor.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-decode-html-entities-in-the-template-parts-list\">Decode HTML Entities in the Template Parts List<\/h3><p>The WordPress 5.9.3 update fixed the bug in custom template part names containing HTML reserved characters like apostrophes (&lsquo;) and dashes (-).<\/p><p>Before the update, you could add a new template part with such characters, but the interface wouldn&rsquo;t decode the HTML entities correctly.
