AI agent demos often show agents handling complex tasks: booking trips, negotiating deals, or running entire online stores. Impressive as they are, these examples can make beginners think that agents need to handle ambitious workflows to be worth using. They don’t.<\/p>

When we looked at what tasks our customers asked our agentic AI assistant about, a third of the requests were DNS and domain updates – settings most website owners rarely touch.<\/p>

That’s the gap between what agents can do and where most people actually find them useful.<\/p>

If you’ve used an AI chatbot like ChatGPT or Claude, you already know the basics. Many agents work through a similar chat window.<\/p>

The difference is that agents can act on what you ask – they don’t stop at giving you the information. They can do anything from researching the web to making changes in your account, like updating a setting.<\/p>

Some of those actions are harmless. Others change things you care about, so it helps to know which is which before you start.<\/p>

A good way to begin using an AI agent is with two types of tasks: the ones you already know well, and the ones you’ve never learned or rarely do.<\/p>
